  Pillar #7 - Honor

  Honor (Kavod) - “To be heavy, to give weight to.”

  Honor means assigning someone value, respect, and significance in your life.

  Honor is a divine principle that reflects God’s order in our relationships. 

  With honor, relationships flourish, communities are strengthened and divine blessings are released. 

  Point 1: Honor God with Your Wealth

  Proverbs 3:9-10 NIV
  Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

  Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV
  But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

  1. Acknowledges and cultivates a giving heart for the Lord of the Harvest. 

  2. Releases gratitude for the harvest he places in our hands.

  3. Protects us from greed or materialism recognizing God has blessed me to be a blessing. 

  Point 2: Honor God with Your Words

  Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].

  Point 3: Honor God with Your Work

  Proverbs 12:14 NIV
  From the fruit of their lips people are filled with good things, and the work of their hands brings them reward.

  Deuteronomy 28:12 NIV
  The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. (You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.)

  See Your work as worship to God not a punishment from God

  Proverbs 16:3 NASB
  Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

  Don’t waste the opportunities to honor God with your work.

  The soul (appetite) of the lazy person craves and gets nothing [for lethargy overcomes ambition], But the soul (appetite) of the diligent [who works willingly] is rich and abundantly supplied. - Amplified
